Music and Sound
I offer music and sound for RISD students. The prices are negotiable. If it is simple, you might be able to pay me with favors and food.

My Style:
The music I make is minimalist and ethereal. I enjoy using piano, cello, violin, and voice to build a musical landscape. I like using ambiance and mixing in sounds from nature.

What I WILL do:

I will make music in my style for you.

I can give you advice if you run into issues with mixing

I can help you use your DAW.

What I will NOT do:

I will not be your foley artist.

I will not do ADR for you.

I will not mix your 20 minute film.
Music Composition ($25)
$25 for a song in my style. I will use 1-2 instruments. I can add ambiance. You should tell me the vibe of the song you want.
Music for Live Action Short Film ($90)
$90 for one-two minutes of scoring with your direction. This can be cut out in snippets throughout the film. It should be similar themes. Typically I use 1-2 instruments and ambiance. Doing music and sound for Live Action is a more complicated and requires a lot of communication. $90 will allow you to have more control over the music's direction and this would be an extended period of communication.
The prices are negotiable, and you might be able to pay partially with favors and food. If you just need something simple I can cut down the price. Please know that $90 is really cheap and if you want something more refined you have to pay more.

Please ask me in spring semester when your rough cut is ready. The work flow will look like this:

1. Send me a brief description of your film. Tell me what kind of music you need and how much music you need. I'll tell you if I can do it.
2. Send me your rough cut and tell me where you need music.
3. I will record the music over the movie file in Logic Pro and send it to you.
4. Let me know of revisions.
5. I will revise the music according to your request and then send it back to you.
